Normod Carbon and Euroports sign MOU to explore strategic cooperation on CO₂ hub infrastructure
Antwerp, Belgium / Oslo, Norway – July 20th 2026 – Normod Carbon, a a Baltic Corridor CO₂ aggregator, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Euroports, is one of the largest port-infrastructure companies in Europe, to explore a strategic cooperation focused on the development of carbon management infrastructure across the Euroports network.
The collaboration aims to evaluate opportunities for jointly developing, constructing and operating CO₂ hub infrastructure, combining Euroports' expertise in port infrastructure development and terminal operations with Normod Carbon's experience in carbon transport, aggregation and permanent storage solutions.
As industries across Europe accelerate their decarbonisation strategies, efficient logistics and storage infrastructure for captured CO₂ will become increasingly important. Ports are expected to play a central role by serving as collection, intermediate storage and transport hubs connecting industrial emitters with permanent storage locations.
Under the MoU, the companies will jointly assess technical, commercial and market opportunities for the development of one or more CO₂ hubs while evaluating the feasibility of future investments. The agreement is non-binding and represents an important first step in exploring long-term collaboration.
